Lower Back Pain
Lower back pain affects the area of the back below the rib cage, called the lumbar region. It can be caused by various conditions such as muscle or ligament strain, slipped discs, arthritis, skeletal irregularities such as scoliosis, or osteoporosis, which can cause compression fractures. The pain can range from a dull ache, to a sharp stabbing sensation. Feeling numbness or tingling down your legs is also a common symptom, especially with sciatica, when your sciatic nerve is compressed by inflamed tissues in your lower back. Lower back pain is one of the biggest reasons for missed work. If your pain has persisted for more than 3 months, it is considered chronic.

Step 1: Assess
When you visit us for lower back pain therapy, we will first examine your affected area. For sciatica treatment, this will include examining your buttocks region. This examination will be done by certified physiotherapists. We want to assess your ability to sit, stand, walk and lift your legs. We will also ask you to rate your pain on a scale of zero to 10 and discuss how well you’re functioning with your pain.
Our assessment will help us determine where the pain comes from, how much you the pain has limited your function and movement and whether you have muscle spasms. Back pain can be caused by many factors, and we want to understand how serious your condition is.
If you have already seen a doctor or tried any other treatments, it will be helpful if you brought the report or any X-ray, MRIs or CT scans that you may have. If you suspect a fracture, please see a doctor first to get an X-ray or MRI done, as we do not have these facilities.
Step 2: Integrative Therapy
Our lower back pain therapy does not involve painful manipulation or surgery. Lower back pain is one of the most common conditions we treat, and our proprietary Chinese medicine patches are very effective to reduce the pain and inflammation. We apply these patches after every session on your back. We also use a variety of physiotherapy treatments, such as massage / muscle release techniques, heat, TENs (electrical stimulation), and ultrasound to relax your lower back muscles and soft tissues during each session. For the best results, you should wear our patches for at least 12 hours, as they help facilitate healing, and have been scientifically proven to have powerful anti-inflammatory effects.

Step 3: Results
