Our Testimonials

Knee Osteoarthritis

"We love this testimonial from Madam Khoo, who is an osteoarthritis sufferer, with the condition affecting her hip. She eloquently writes about her experience here, and speaks about how both modern medicine’s painkillers and alternative medicine’s acupuncture couldn’t do much beyond temporarily reducing her pain. But after her treatment at YAPCHANKOR, her walking function improved by 70%, her pain has disappeared whenever she stands, and her range of movement has improved by 50%. The stiffness and muscle aches in her leg have also reduced significantly. So even though we have not gotten rid of the osteoarthritis problem completely, we have given Madam Khoo back a significantly enhanced quality of life. Thank you for sharing your osteoarthritis recovery story Madam Khoo!"

“I started suffering from right hip pain in early 2013 and this was later confirmed to be osteoarthritis of the hip. In the beginning, I had to take pills for the pain, but later I started going for regular acupuncture in 2014 for 9 months. Whilst this helped to reduce the pain, I was walking awkwardly with a limp. My right leg progressively felt more stiff and ‘heavy’ as I was experiencing muscle aches and pains. I got tired quickly when walking and I was also having lower back pain when standing for more than 20 mins.

I came across the YAPCHANKOR advertisement on the internet, I read about the treatment and so I decided to give it a try. I signed up for 21 treatments and by the end of the treatment, I found that I was walking more normally, the stiffness and muscle aches in my right leg reduced significantly and my walking improved by 70%. The physio and stretching exercises initially caused pain in my right leg and my hip joint, but I am now able to perform the exercises mostly without any pain, though there is still the occasional pressure felt on the joints.

I used to experience pain around my hip joint whenever I stood up from a sitting position and I had to start moving slowly due to the pain but this rarely occurs now.

The range of movement for my right leg has improved by about 50%. Although I am able to stretch my legs without pain, I am unable to recover the full range of movement for my right leg.

Overall, I am pleased with the treatment at YAPCHANKOR and the level of professionalism of the physiotherapist, Ms Janna who has been very patient and determined to help me get better.” – Khoo C.S
